I joined the Abbeyfield Bury Society in January 2019 as General Manager and report to the Board of Trustees. Working closely with the staff at both of our houses, we have established a varied routine of social events and activities for the residents. Dennis is Beverley’s husband, and can turn his hand to any job required. He does the painting and decorating in the flats and all practical work around the house. Dennis also accompanies the residents on day trips, often stepping in as our trusty driver! I've been part of Abbeyfield House, Radcliffe for nearly 50 years, both as a volunteer and the housekeeper. I'm passionate about my role and feel privileged to be looking after so many lovely residents. My husband Dennis and I love to be involved in organising outings and activities for our residents. Judith has been working for Abbeyfield for 12 years and looks after the residents when Beverley is on leave. She helps out with both cooking and other domestic duties.
