Ann Challis has been providing care for over 60 years and has an exceptional reputation within the community and a long history of providing a supportive environment in which our residents can maintain their dignity and enjoy the highest quality of life. Here at Ann Challis we understand and recognise that our residents have different needs, and as such we offer differing levels of care. We provide residential, respite, palliative and dementia care, and with a maximum capacity of 23 residents, we consider ourselves still small enough to maintain that personal touch. Some of our residents have been with us for many years, and, as such are very much a part of our family. Meal times are a very important part of our residents' day, they sit at properly dressed tables from where they can enjoy our homemade meals, created in many cases from locally sourced ingredients. We maintain a very relaxed environment here. Friends and family are always welcome to visit and perhaps share a cup of tea and a slice of homemade cake. Each resident has created for them a personalised Care Plan from which our team work and they can also enjoy the convenience of such services as hairdressing and chiropody visits. They also enjoy a varied and frequent entertainment programme including our ever popular Home Safari visits, where our residents can experience and interact with a variety of fun animals, of which the Meerkats are a firm favourite! In fact we have our own little home safari going on in the form of our tabby cat who loves a fuss and cuddle! We also have Bingo afternoons, exercise classes, musical afternoons and pampering sessions where our ladies can enjoy being fussed over!

So happy with the care my Mum receives here. The staff and manager are so warm, friendly and caring. The home itself is spotless. My Mum loves the food!

MY wife was welcomed into the home which i chose because i had known of it for many years & its good reputation. The care staff are very experienced & cope with my wifes dementia well. She is very happy there & thats the most important thing..

My partner has settled in extremely well. The staff are first class....nothing too much trouble for them....always very pleasant and understanding. Simply wish I could visit but, owing to the pandemic, unable to.

I must say that the Ann challis is clean the food is lovely and staff very caring towards the ladys so the negative review is utter rubbish because the management and staff do their up most and the home has been updated and continues to be updated when needed regular activities happen here and it's a great family atmosphere well done Ann challis!
