This school is excellent. The school ranks very highly and consistently outranks colleges such as Xaverian, Loreto and Connell as shown in the Department for Education League Tables. The quality of teaching is exemplary. It is very evident that the teacher’s whom work here truly have a love for their occupation. They ensure there are no knowledge gaps by setting relevant homework and consistently challenging their students. Students are supported and encouraged and therefore perform brilliantly in examinations and assessments. Admissions into the college is competitive — with the 2021 acceptance rate being approximately 40% and is predicted to continue to increase in competitiveness. It’s ranked within the top 25% of colleges nationally and is becoming increasingly better year by year.

Just a warning from a current student to those thinking about coming here. The crowding is horrendous and it takes 30 minutes to find a seat to eat. There are currently 3000 students and around 1000 places for people to sit, including outside which are unusable when raining or snowing. The library is always full especially during winter and to top it off they are not kicking people out of the library for sitting on the floor when there are no seats in or out of the library. The only good thing I can think of about this college is that most of the teacher are friendly and helpful, and they provide a wide range of subjects. One more thing I forgot to mention is the fact that there is scaffolding everywhere, lights have recently fallen out of the ceiling and there are large holes in the roof of Costa that a bucket is placed under to catch the water that comes through. I probably should’ve gone to Glossopdale.

This school is truly excellent. The school ranks extremely well, the staff are extremely helpful, especially those in the maths and law department.
