The contact lenses check was very thorough. My first time at Boots Opticians. I got to try different prescription lenses ( a first for me) with loads of good advice. The optician that I saw was patient and knowledge. The sales consultant I saw after the checkup was lovely. I came under no pressure to purchase from them. I will return. Thoroughly recommend.

Overall, good experience - helpful and informative in first room, a bit less so in the second. Given the amount of information retrieved from the eye and OCT test, you don’t get told an awful lot and there is nothing to take away on that side of things, just the prescription. Very satisfied overall though and pointing out suggested improvements on a personal service given the investment given

My daughter got her first pair of glasses from here, she's only 10 and was nervous aswell as excited. All the staff were wonderful in the way they put her at ease, friendly, helpful and honest about which frames suited her. From selecting her frames to collection and making sure she was comfortable with them the staff were lovely. I've always had my glasses and lenses from here and will continue to do so.

I attended the Trafford Centre branch of Boots Opticians for a routine sight test for my 6 year old daughter. We were warmly welcomed as soon as we entered the store and shown to the seating area where we were advised of the next steps. A lady called Siobhan called us through for the pre-screen part and was great with my daughter, ensuring that she was aware of what was happening at each machine and that she was able to comfortably reach them as my daughter is tiny for her age. The optician was a lady called Tasneem. She was also very good with my daughter, reassuring and praising her at each stage of the test. At the end of the test Tasneem explained the results and reassured me that there hadn't been a large change to the prescription but that as my daughter has outgrown her current glasses that we would be entitled to a voucher towards the cost of getting new ones. Tasneem then handed my daughter's notes to a young man named Joseph who showed us to the children's frames and explained how the glasses voucher worked and the range of lenses available. After choosing a frame Tasneem came back over to us to check that the frame we had chosen was suitable and also took some measurements of my daughter's face. Joseph then completed the order and informed us of the full cost after the deduction of the voucher and informed us of when the glasses would be ready, booking us in for an appointment to ensure that there would be an optician on the premises to check the glasses on my daughter before we took them away. All along the way the staff were extremely warm and friendly and kept us informed of what was happening in a way that my daughter also understood. The store also had a great atmosphere with fantastic chemistry between the team. Altogether a fantastic visit, I will definitely be bringing my daughter back for her next test and glasses and will be recommending this store to my friends.

EDIT: Following the review below Danielle called me and was really nice and helpful and managed to get the order transferred over to the branch closer to me! Staff were friendly and helpful but the service in general for boots opticians is terrible. I ordered glasses when I was out at the Trafford Centre, which is about an hour from my home. I ordered glasses but wanted to collect them from a different store closer to where I live, for obvious reasons. They said the glasses had to be sent to their store first then sent on to the other store and it took longer for them to be transferred that it did for them to be made and sent to Trafford! It took nearly 3 weeks to get the glasses and I'm not happy with them so I took them to the boots opticians near me and they said I have to go to the original store to get them changed for a different pair within the 30 day refund period and I HAVE to get the new glasses from that store too! Absolutely shocking, it's not a chain company at all, might as well just be local Joe's opticians if you can't actually do anything between stores. So frustrating and I have learned my mistake the hard way that the replacement glasses I am going to get will be the last pair I get from Boots. In the meantime I managed to order a free trial from glasses direct and then get a pair plus sunglasses that I much prefer (despite only ordering as a cheaper spare pair) for less overall. No wonder places are shutting stores down, don't compare at all to online services where I could get a 120 day refund if I'm not happy.
