Therefore, by choosing a funeral professional who is a member of the British Institute of Funeral Directors you can be certain that you are choosing a competent and qualified practitioner. (The best qualified professional in your area for your funeral service). We hold recognised qualifications through and is an approved member of the National Association of Funeral Directors. Bridgewater Funeral Service is an approved member of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) and subscribes to its code of practice. We are an accredited provider of Perfect Choice Funeral Plans, which are carried out exclusively by NAFD members. Ecclesiastical Planning Services, the plan provider behind Perfect Choice Funeral Plans, is registered with the Funeral Planning Authority. Our embalmer is fully qualified and a licensed member of the British Institute of Embalmers. Previously of Cheethams funeral service in Walkden, our proprietor and experienced funeral director has served families in the local area for over 20 years. In addition to her wealth of experience as a director Emma is a long term licensed member of the British Institute of Funeral Directors and holds nationally recognised qualifications.

My Dad passed and me and my three sisters with my elderly Mum, who has dementia and is deaf, went to see Emma and Michael. My goodness their compassion and professionalism was outstanding. It would have been so easy for Emma to focus on the daughters but instead Emma made sure that our Mum was fully involved in the discussions. My Mum immediately fell in love with Emma. Emma said the funeral would be perfect and it was. Every aspect of their service from always being at the end of the phone, organising the chapel visits, organising the collection was first class. The introduction to the amazing Celebrant Lisa was the icing on the cake.

My family recently used Bridgewater Funeral services when we suddenly lost my amazing Nana. From the start Emma and Michael were lovely and very compassionate. They really took care of my Grandad and the rest of the family. Lisa who did the service did a beautiful job. Thank you to everyone involved for making such a difficult time that little bit easier.

We were extremely happy with our decision to use Bridgewater Funeral Service to arrange mums funeral. From the first meeting with Emma it was obvious she was a caring and compassionate person with high professional standards. These high standards continued throughout, from receiving mum from hospital, to the funeral itself. We cannot rate highly enough the service we received from Emma, Mike & Abbie.
