Carols Alterations offer a full Alterations & Repairs Service for Ladies, Gents and Children's garments from casual wear to special occasion wear.
There is a spacious changing room available with no rush as care and attention is our priority at all times.
I offer a service for replacement zips on your favourite jeans to trousers shortenings, skirts and special occasion wear alterations. I apply the same high levels of quality and craftsmanship to each and every job.
Since I set up my business I have come to learn that with my expertise in the sewing trade and both mine and customers ideas and input we can come together with our thinking, expanding combined ideas thus ending in an excellent happy service with satisfied results all round.
As it is me that does all the work of all clothing alterations and repairs and which are carried out on the premises, there is normally a week's turnaround service for most of the work.
Bridal and special occasion wear may take longer but in some circumstances there is a possibility for a quicker turn around on more day-to-day wear and repairs, please ask Carol for details.
We also offer a curtain shortening service, all enquiries are welcome.

Been to Carol's before now. I remember last time I had a suit altered. I received a call from Carol, I thought that was quick with the alterations, she actually called me to say I had left my visa gold in a pocket. Honest, integrity and above all a great seamstress.

Absolutely love Carol! Carol has been helping with my outfits for almost 3 years, she has altered so many things including my wedding dress and other dresses, jumpsuits and pants, she has the best ideas and even made a wonderful pair of pants from an ill fitting jumpsuit! I’ve never been so happy with my outfits.

I've just been to the shop and Carol has been great repairing my t-shirt. It looks likes new again. She's so nice and experienced. She's done a fantastic job! I can't recommend Carol enough. I know where to go now. Thank you very much, Carol. See you soon. Davide

Needs to improve communication skills. I called in advance. She told me to come in the morning. I go in during the morning and then she wasn't available to pin my dress. She didn't inform me to book in when I called in advance. Told me she was inundated when she told me she could shorten my dress within the week. I was clearly frustrated after driving there specially. She was quite rude and I felt like she was trying to pick a fight when I explained I was frustrated. Needless to say I went somewhere else where my custom was actually welcome.
