Good points - the location is beautiful tucked away in some trees surrounded by nature. The location is also on a quiet road just off the motorway so no chaotic driving and there's a sainsburys/aldi just round corner (about 10-15min walk) so great for quick bites. Also has a food area but we didn't try it. Reception staff were ok, not bad nor super welcoming (instructions werent the best and didn't tell us check out times or anything so had to check on our email). Onto the bad. 1- This hotel is HOT. Insanely so. It's may so UK heat is dreadful enough but the hotel was baking which didn't help with radiators inside rooms that couldn't be turned off (bathroom). Our floor was also hot to walk on, not sure if underfloor heating or if we were above the kitchen but it was uncomfortably hot and affected sleep greatly. 2) Our room was another continent away. Our instructions were "go through that door and follow it round" well our room was 4 sets of stairs, 4 fire doors, and 5 corridors away. Not good if poor mobility though there was a stair lift. Not sure about bags or a elevator. 3) the corridors smell bad. Like very stale care home aromas of microwaved meats (worst outside 110-114). Not sure if thst was due to kitchen but needs some air fresheners or windows. 4) the hotel is next to a new build site so I got woken up at 7am to builder shouting / singing and diggers. Not sure how this can be rectified but I barely slept. Attached video. 5) for the women. There's no sanitary bins in the bathroom?? I find this bizarre. Not very pleasant having to carry sanitary products into the main room to put inside the main bin. Very grim. 6) room layout is a bit awkward. No chargers/sockets next to bed. Also no light switch next to bed so goodluck navigating the dark if you need a mid night pee. Attached a photo of where the switch is as found it amusing. 7) the walls are paper thin so be aware. I could hear the man next door huffing and coughing like he was in the room with us. Not sure if there was free WiFi, don't think so but we didn't get any info or welcome packs. Also wasn't told anything about breakfasts or food opening times. No hairdryers in rooms, have to pay £20 deposit so bring your own. Rooms supply 2 mugs worth of tea so 1 each if you're a couple unless you favour it black. So overall a poor stay, definitely wouldn't be back. Is it ok for money / a 1 night stay? Yeah maybe but I think I'll stick to Travelodge next time. Truthfully expected more after seeing the outside.

very disappointed, we planned to stay here on new year’s eve but decided to cancel as we found something closer to us. We cancelled by the time they said for free, yet still took £145 out of my friends bank account. Called them up and said they could not return the money, so paid £145 for nothing. Don’t stay here. Staff are poorly communicated and seems like they don’t know what they’re doing.

Great hotel, well located between Manchester and the motorway M60. In a quiet area off the.main road so no disturbances from traffic. Great staff, free parking, fitness hall and squash courts available to book.
