Came here with my partner a week or two ago, paid £9 all together - £2 for a giant sausage, £2.50 for a meat and potato pie and £4.50 for cheesy chips with gravy. Honestly think it was a bit overpriced - the sausage tasted a bit odd, not the way chippy sausages usually taste and not in a good way. The pie my partner got was tiny - smaller than the palm of my hand but he said he really enjoyed. Chips tasted quite bland on their own, cheese was sloppy and with the gravy put on top of the cheesy chips, didn’t taste too bad but I couldn’t eat it all as it started tasting a bit bland after a while. I know there is salt and vinegar available on tables but as we were eating out we weren’t offered that option and I’m not sure if it was readily available for takeout, as staff never mentioned it, but it would have been nice to have the option to put salt and vinegar on top or even for the chips to have it on already in the case of them having cheese and gravy on top. Overall I’m sure I wouldn’t come here again and definitely wouldn’t recommend for the price - there are chip shops a lot cheaper around with higher quality food. Food came quick so I guess that’s a plus. Three stars from me.

Very friendly and helpful staff, despite it was near closing time, they still served us and we're nice enough to give our children free ice pops due to the weather outside. Food was also really nice too!

Best in town, once they forgot my pie in my order, next order they gave free which was £15. Food yum as always. Fish bit too small n dry for me. Chips & English Curry is what to get from here, been buying from these regularly since 1980.

It's a place whe you are assured freshly cooked/fried fish and chips as well warm light meals and beverages. The best in Ashton Under Lyne.
