Absolute joke, Failed my MOT for probably absolutely nothing as they love to try get money out of you. Booked to repair today and the charge was £300 they told me it would take three hours and when i came to pick it up they didn’t even touch my car and didn’t even bother to call which is ridiculous. the guy at the front said that whoever they needed to give them the parts was not responding (why they left this until last minute is beyond me when they had nearly a weeks notice to get the parts). They also said that if they are able to get the part they can fix it in five minutes so why did they say initially it was a three hour job? Don’t waste ur money or your time.

Charged for service thst haven't been done. In January my car was in halfords garage Bury New Road Manchester. I've paid for full service and filters to be changed, plus M.O.T I was informed that my car failed M.O.T but i haven't agreed wit it, as i know my car was in great condition, then they did it again and it passed. After further few hours i was informed everything was done. With few weeks I've noticed that my car started to underperform. On that point I've decided to get checked locally and priced up any repairs if necessary. That day my computer showed me information about oil service required (that was done in January and i haven't driven 10000 miles within 2 months) so the garage i went to straight away told that oil and filters needed to be changed. After just checking the oil it reviled that nothing was done as it should be in January! Avoid this garage at all costs if you want your car engine to have longer life!!! My car now engine is significantly underperforming because of that negligence. Update: No one got back in contact with me from Halfords.

These guys took advantage of me completely. I asked for a bearing to be changed and service. Ended up with a £1500 bill for all my discs and pads and both bearings. Agreed for them to do the work, which is my fault as I was panicking and needed the car for work. Checked my previous service reports and MOT’s and all discs and pads were replaced 2 years earlier. They also tried to charge me £122 for a new battery even though the battery was installed 1 year before. 3 different people said “we hate dishing a bill out like this at christmas” one of them was almost smiling when he said. They gave me the car back and the handbrake wasn’t working. Had to go back to that sorted, they then decided the calipur needed replacing. Why wasn’t this picked up the first time and how can you let a car leave the garage without checking the handbrake. I’ll never use them again, super dodgy

Came for a punctured tyre, it took them nearly an hour to change. When getting back in the car I found they had stolen a packet of cigarettes from the front compartment. Not happy with this service at all. Keep everything you don’t want stolen on you and not in your car.

Took advantage of me and overcharged me massively. Won’t be back. If you are a woman don’t go as clearly they overcharged me. Forced me to get the most expensive tyres without offering any other options, charged me for the fuel efficiency pack without asking, changed my brake discs and pads with a very confusing pricing. No breakdown on the cost of parts and the cost of work.
