Great service, arrived a lot earlier than appointment went out of there way to get me in. Fantastic service, friendly staff couldn't ask for more thank you guys.

Terrible service, not the first time I’ve been treated badly by Halfords. If you are a female I DO NOT recommend going here as they try to take advantage. First time I went they tried to charge me over £600 for a battery change and then after speaking to my Dad reduced the price to £300?!? On this occasion, I took my car in for a brake fluid change. They rang to tell me that they had broken my locking wheel nut when trying to take it off and then tried to charge me £85 for it to be replaced. We obviously refused to pay this after they had caused damage to the car so the brake fluid change couldn’t go ahead. As I went to drive off in my car I noticed that they had also damaged the gear stick! The gear stick cap had been snapped off. Not only were they unable to do the job I had booked in for my car is now worse off than it was before! They were not apologetic in the slightest, their attitude towards young females is disgusting and unprofessional.

As Terrible as Terrible can be. Been using Halfords Northenden for a few years, used to be good when staffed by some good old pro’s, but now place has gone downhill and it starts and ends with the attitude and behaviour of its current staff. Will never return to this place. Booked and paid for my car to have MOT and Service as I do every year. Turned up at 8:30 dropped car off. Got call in afternoon saying back tyres worn and are failing MOT, quoted me £460. I said leave it and just do the service. Then I called at 5pm and was told service is in progress and come to collect. Then got call few minutes later saying car is too big for ramp so can’t do service! I said how come you said you were doing service a few minutes ago, and how has service been done on this and similar sized cars for last few years, and why book and take the car if your ramp is to small? No idea was kind of the response. Turned up at garage to collect car and was told to re-book service to which I said on one hand your saying car is too big for service, and now want me to rebook? I left, and noticed my locking nut for wheel was missing, which I suspect they took out to replace the tyres. I called them and lady said she’d get back to me and was annoyingly constantly talking over me. Needless to say and true to form, she never called back. I got both rear tyres changed (after getting new locking nut) at UK Tyres in Longsight for £250, so £210 cheaper than these cowboys, and car passed MOT next day. Refund for service had not shown up days after…total joke of a place, and low grade of staff with bad attitude and behaviour.

Really not impressed with this location. Booked in for MOT & full service at 8:30am the other week. When I dropped it off the man I dealt with already let me know they were overbooked. By the end of the day they could only do the MOT. I was assured when I brought it back in it wouldn’t be a problem to do the service and tyre repair. They were again backed up and didn’t get my car up till near the end of the day. Then rang and said the locking wheel nut key wasn’t in the car so couldn’t repair the tyre. I asked them to look in a specific place and was told it wasn’t there— of course we got home and it was there. Honestly, to have brought the car in twice, rearranged our schedules and now I need to arrange another repair for my car when it could and shave been done then and there— I won’t be going back. The staff on the 2nd also didn’t seem to be at all bothered when I said I might just pick up the car and get a refund when I wasn’t convinced the service would be done in time.

Used Halfords several times for both my car and my partners. Excellent service, friendly staff and a good standard of work. I would recommend this place to anyone.
