Heaton Park Garden Centre is an old fashioned, traditional Garden Centre which concentrates on selling home grown plants from our own nurseries. Set within the historic grounds of the world famous Heaton Park, you can relax within the gardens which were planted over 100 years ago. The Horticultural Centre was established within the 18th century walled garden that once supplied fruit and vegetables for the whole estate.

I've ordered and taken delivery of a number of plants and baskets from HP Garden Centre over the years and as always, they're great value for money as well as being lovely and long lasting. Staff take a great deal of pride in their work. I've just taken advantage of the Easter sale and now have several seasonal planters adding some welcome colour. Many thanks.

Great place to visit. Plenty of parking space (charges apply). Has a cafe with outdoor and undercover seating. Plants and decorative objects for house and garden for sale. Plants look very healthy and some large ones ready to plant if you need mature well established plants or shrubs. Set in Heaton Park, and feels remote from the bustle, although it is very accessible along a short lane, from the main road. Plenty of nice strolls around the park available from here.

This is a lovely garden centre the people here are very pleasant however I visited last week with my 91 year old grandmother on her rollattor. We arrived at 3.50 and worried for time but the lady in the garden centre said they dont close until 5pm so we'd have time to shop but after buying a hot drink from the cafe all the goods on the garden centre shelves were locked behind a railing and the young man threw us out at 4.15. After being told it didn't close until 5pm and rushing us out early was extremely rude. I tried to call the next day to ask why we were rushed out but none of the contact numbers in the website work.

Absolutely fantastic lovely friendly helpful staff amazing customer service. Santa's grotto was superb couldn't recommend enough. The cafe was also lovely delicious food and reasonably priced.

Amazing place to visit and explore all the lovely plants growing in this Garden Centre. The staff maintain plants to a high standard and amazing to deal with!
