All the children in this setting seem very happy and engaged, the forest garden is a wonderful idea and the natural resources used for both indoor and outdoor play was refreshing to see. Children in this setting seem to thrive and have good relationship ls with all the staff (even staff not based in their room). The preschoolers were fabulous and very excited and prepared with the skills for moving to big school and graduating nursery. In addition the staff team all seem happy and I've seen staff members leave and come back to the setting over the years which must mean it's a good place to work. The management team seem especially lovely although they are busy Sarah and Jane seem always willing to help.

My two elder grandchildren went here and my youngest one is about to start. As a family we have been completely impressed and delighted by the care and development the children receive. We particularly love the amount of time the children spend outside in virtually all weathers. When we first saw inside I was i was surprised that there didn't seem to be many commercially bought toys, but came to realise that they don't need them as they use materials and the world around them as their toys. A brilliantvplace

Rude, unorganised and prejudice manager!! We went to view this nursery for our two year old. On arrival the nursery manger was not welcoming at all. In fact the slapped look on her face seemed as though she couldn’t be bothered being there. We came for a viewing to be told straight away ‘did I agree to this?’. We then got asked whether we work for the NHS. We don’t. She then said straight away she has no place for my son as she is fully booked - but ‘I can show you around for 5 minutes as I’m busy’. I challenged her on the fact that head office stated she does have places, that’s why this visit was organised. She ‘tried’ back tracking on her statement and said she does have places, but not for the days we wanted. As we were walking out, she spoke very rudely to a staff member who was asking a question - clearly it is not a great place to work and I feel sorry for the staff there. What poor management within the nursery, she clearly does not understand the concept of a welcoming nursery environment and has a lack of interpersonal and relationship skills. If head office are reading this - I would advice to give her some more training because she lacks it. Reflecting on the visit, I’m glad of the poor experience as I would not want to send my child to such a place with somebody ‘leading’ the team there. I would love to see her turnover of staff. I can imagine it is a very tense place to work, meaning my child would not be looked after with love. Sarah - thank you for showing us what a poor nursery looks like!
