Northenden, as the name describes was the northern village in Cheshire, now a residential area in the City on Manchester. Its vast parkland and trails alongside the Mersey make it an ideal family area, blessed with great schools and communications. We are minutes away from Manchester International Airport excellent hospitals and three major Universities.

With only five miles to Manchester centre there are major music, theatre and other cultural events every week of the year, including major Christmas markets complimenting the largest Marks & Spencer’s store, not forgetting Harvey Nichols and Selfridge’s.

Described as having the fasted growth in prices in UK, outside Chelsea (Autumn 2016), the area still offers great capital growth opportunities in BTL and homes with super value for money prices.

We have recently purchased our first property through Hunters. From the beginning John and Alan have been really helpful and a rock throughout the whole process. They have been superb in regards to keeping us up to date with the progress and any questions about what stage we are at. I would highly recommend Hunters when selling and buying properties

We, as a group of 3 sharers rented through Hunters for 12 months. When reading this review, please remember this point; we are ALL property managers and have a firm understanding of how a tenancy should be conducted. We can provide evidence of all points if anyone is curious. Our move in was abysmal. We collected our keys on the agreed start of the contract. On entering the property for the first time, we were astounded to note that first the property was FILTHY, including soil marks on the toilets. Many works were not done. Including but not limited to; exposed live wires, damaged plaster, cracked mirrors and blown lightbulbs. Most alarmingly, Hunters allowed us to move in WITHOUT a valid Gas Safety Certificate (CP12) as required by law. This was issued a week after keys were collected. When I felt compelled to meet the manager, Alan to outline our concerns, he overall response to the situation was that they believed they were "doing us a favour" by allowing us to move in. THIS IS NOT AN ACCEPTABLE RESPONSE BY ANY MEANS. There is no favourable situation for a tenant to move into a property unregulated, unclean and of such a low standard of maintenance. We had to delay our move in by 19 days. This meant that while Hunters had our move in monies from the start of our contract, we had to pay our for 19 days of rent in another property. This was also brought up with Alan, who promised we would not "be left out of pocket" Their solution; move the tenancy start date. They had our move in money by the orignally agreed start date. This too is not acceptable. We are STILL out of pocket. Alan; your response to this move in complaint is appalling. Your or your property manager should have had the common courtesy to let us know about all the above prior to picking up keys. You did NOT "do us a favour". 6 months into the tenancy, we had an inspection. It they noted we had taken in dogs. These dogs were declared before we even put an application in. (I shall assume from the response to reviews that Alan will now declare: "we have no record of this") Not a single maintenance request was resolved, other than SOME move in works that were on going. Nothing reported was responded to. None of the issues were urgent, but at least some acknowledgement would have been a positive. In truth, as we are property managers, it was more convenient to simply fix the problems ourselves, instead of waiting on Hunters. Though understandably, others may not see it this way. Communication was shocking. There was never any pro-activity and everything had to be chased. Emailed sent to Alan were un-responded to. When chased, Alan returned with and I quote: "I sent an email !". When I asked, this "email" was not resent. Instead, a half-mannered follow up response that was riddled with incorrect information. This tells me that Alan has more interest in lying to tenants to avoid conflict and protect his staff and branch. If you are a landlord with an agent, I strongly urge you to make sure your property is being managed correctly. Are you getting the correct number of inspections? Are all compliance checks in date? Are your tenants being managed property? Any slip up of anything like this could end up costing you in repairs or at worst, leave you susceptible to legal fines. Please be vigilant when renting properties. Our experience with Hunters is the main reason we chose to leave an otherwise, very nice house. I would like to believe that this tenancy was a one-off poor performance from Hunters. However, looking at the other comments in their reviews and some responses from the business owner, I do not hold much hope. I found Alan to be condescending and completely uninterested in resolving queries. Any complaints with Hunters will not be satisfactorily resolved.

Do not trust any of HUNTERS sales agents!!!!!! I wanted to share my experience with HUNTERS estate agents regarding a property we were interested in. Initially, the property was leasehold, but the agent promised that it could be sold as freehold and the process would be quick. However, after 3.5+ months of waiting, there was no progress made. Despite repeated calls and emails, the responses from the agent were not satisfactory(giving us robotic responses of "We will keep you posted" but never had an actual answer) and it seemed like our concerns were not being addressed. We eventually had to back out of the deal and incurred losses in terms of searches and survey fees. While this was not the outcome we had hoped for and please be cautious about the promises they make and fail to keep it up

Poor experience which was fed-back to them on site. They told me they would investigate and come back to me, never heard from them again, this was over a month ago. Very bad We wanted to pick up our house keys from them but for some reason they didn't contact us when the keys were dropped off, lied about the time they were dropped by the vendors, closed the office early on the day too. We had to rearrange multiple services booked due to this and have not had any recompense. I rarely leave 1* but the fact that this was promised to be looked into and then silence is unacceptable
