NRG Manchester is the best gym in all the gyms I have been a member of for the last 15 years in South Manchester. Worth a visit to check it for yourselves. It is a fully equipped, 24 hour gym. It's good to see Kangwa back again with all the hardwood he is doing around the gym. And Stephen has always been a welcoming presence. Love this gym.

Equipment is good but the gym is dirty, tissues and used bottles everywhere. Staff do not enforce the gym rules. Weights left everywhere by members even though there are signs asking you to put weights back or have your membership revoked. I have contacted management about these problems to no avail, they just ignore you. Also gym etiquette from members is by far the worst in here I have ever experienced and a lot of the regulars would agree. Avoid this gym.

Overall the gyms ok the variety of equipment is pretty good, I wouldn’t come in the evening to busy in the weights area. However the gym fails massively in their ability to get things fixed, I’ve been a member for 6 months and one water tap is still broke. Not enough handles for the cable machines and lack of Caribbean clips , entrance pod keeps braking.

I have been at NRG for the past 3 months, but have no decided to leave due to the poor facilities. The equipment is top tier, however since joining in August, the water tap and cubic toilet has been broken. The sauna is normally always turned off or full. The changing room facilities are very very poor, with food, junk, razors, dirty boxes and clothes left all over the floor. The lift had been broken for a number of days so if not the best for anyone who can’t take the stairs. If your looking for a gym to just work out it’s good, but if your looking to go somewhere after work to relax and destress then I’d suggest somewhere else

We have been going to this gym since January 2024, as a family. Staff are excellent, friendly and always ready to help if we need anything. We feel super comfortable and enjoy going together to workout. It's a pleasure to go there. Thanks to Emma, Stephen & Rosie for being helpful and approachable. There is a good atmosphere, good music and lots of machines. My daughter, 11 years old, enjoys going to the gym, she feels comfortable to use the machines. We all look forward to going there and utilise our family time in a good healthy way. Thanks all!
