Types of Machine Control

3D systems – GPS receivers/prism are fitted on the machine which work together with a base station or Total Station accurately tell the system its position

2D grade control – Grade lasers are fitted to guide the machine

Total station – Works exactly the same as the 3D GPS System mentioned above but instead of using GPS, it uses a robotic total station to control the machine. Increases accuracy at the cost of range; Ideal for smaller projects
