We have used Riverside boarding Kennels for both our cat and dog. The staff are kind and caring. We always get feedback on how they got on. We recommended them to a member of our family, and they were impressed too.

This is the second time I have used Riverside for my dog Crumpet who is at Riverside at present whilst I have to work away from home. The staff are lovely and always helpful even when I had to change the dates of stay due to the Doctors strikes When I dropped her off Crumpet happily trotted off. I think I miss her more than she does me:-)

Used the cattery a few times over the last few months and my cat comes back fine with no problems (apart from the usual 5 hours of screaming the place down to let everyone know he's home). He doesn't smell either, which I've known him to do from other places. Big shout out to Joe who has been a delight, from booking Alan in (and requesting a room with a view!), to dropping him off and picking him up. Thank you Joe. The drive down to the kennels is a bit nail biting, but this can't be helped!

We have just collected our old English bulldog Thor from Riverside and couldn't be more disappointed. From the moment we arrived and were made to feel unwelcome because an older lady first thought it was a staffie and then said that he isn't an old English bulldog but looked like an american bully or banned breed. Rang up to check on him while away and was told he wouldn't be welcome back because he jumped at the at staff in an angry way and made noises when he ate, which was later changed to jumped up at the gate. When collecting, I went into kennels and pretty much every dog jumped at the gate except Thor who was cowering scared in his bed at the back of a 2 x 8 concrete pen with no outside space and an empty water bowl. I accept that all dogs react differently to kennels but all he would want in love and attention which definitely seemed to have been lacking. Glad to have him home and immediately ate and drank and has gone straight to sleep after what feels like an ordeal for him. I'm glad he wouldn't be allowed back there again because I wouldn't dream of sending him back there again anyway. Unfairly prejudged which I feel led to lack of care and attention while he was there. Pictures below show this "dangerous dog" and his paperwork showing that he is in fact an old English bulldog so I will let others judge for themselves!

Excellent kennels and friendly staff. We have used the same kennels for almost 10 years, but Riverside came to our rescue due to a last minute change of plans. We will be using Riverside from now on. Our 18 month old springer had a great stay with them over Christmas. He has come home clean and relaxed. We have already booked him in for his next stay. Professional and friendly staff who clearly work hard to look after their guests. The grounds of the kennels are stunning. Thank you so much for looking after Wallace. See you in May!
