Every time I visit the Savoy, it does not disappoint! It has a lovely atmosphere that makes you feel as though you've travelled back in time. It is far more calm than your regular multiplex cinema but does not compromise on the quality of the seats or the drinks/snack variety. I particularly love to visit for the pizza club showings where you can order yourself a pizza and a pint to take to your seat for the film! Can't fault this place at all, it truly is a gem ❤️

Beautiful Baroque style 100 hundred years old independent cinema. Show all the latest films and have many different shows. Choice of seats with standard, luxury and sofas. Also have different events such as Q&A, baby friendly and pizza club showings.

One of the oldest cinemas in the country still operating (est. 1923), The Savoy has plenty of historic charm. The large screen, comfortable seating and luxurious decor all contribute to the film-going experience. A refreshing change from the multiplex cinemas that have become so run-of-the-mill.

I visit this cinema between 5 and 10 times a month. It’s a wonderful community asset. The staff are amazing, so helpful. It’s what cinema should be. Lots of events and a real variety of films but it’s so great that everyone there is watching the same film. It’s a proper experience.

Screen and sound quality are extremely outdated and poor making watching a movie here a worse experience than watching at home. If that weren't enough when we raised our issue, the management were unreasonably aggressive and rude. The weak little weasels in charge of this place have just cancelled Bob Moran's show as well meaning they don't share his beliefs that children should be protected or the importance of freedom of expression such as this review.
