I bought two items here which I was very happy with. However, I now bought a Swan air fryer which was supposed to be a boxed customer return. It also said that the staff had not tested it so it might be faulty. I have never seen something so disgusting! It must have been used at least 100 times, it was never cleaned, it stank terribly and of course it doesn't work. Really disappointed that this was put up for auction as you could have smelled the stank through the box Hello, Thanks for your response I can accept the below: Lot 5286 BOXED SWAN DIGITAL AIR FRYER OVEN was advertised in the condition report as - This product is untested by our staff at Simon Charles and therefore may not work and/or have parts missing. Please be aware that this product is a customer return. However, A customer return is an item returned because it's not working or they changed their mind. This item was very clearly used a lot of times and sold as a secondhand item. Again, it was also disgusting and anybody who would have handled it would have smelled the rotten food inside. There is a difference between a second hand used item and a customer return. I truly believe either you have been lied to by whoever you bought this from or you were deliberately untrue in the description of this item. I will attach pictures for you to judge.

This is the first time buying here. and all I can say is wow!! I got a really good deal on this BRAND NEW & BOXED BUCKINGHAM GREY VELVET DOUBLE BED. Item Exactly as described Great service from the staff too. I see all the bad reviews, from people who don't read the descriptions properly before buying, so here is a true and honest review I would definitely recommend Simon Charles Auctioneers & Valuers Ltd Great value for money and great customer service thanks.

We purchased a scooter which it stated was boxed. When we receiver it, it was wrapped in a plastic bag, the stem was snapped, no charger and very used. The item was clearly abused. Contacted Simon Charles and basically they said buyer beware. Never have I expected this. Very poor representation of the item, customer service, and over all company. I gave them another chance by sending another request and no answer. And to add insult to injury, bought the stem and charger. Plugged it in and it doesn’t work. Go figure. Be very careful what you buy.

My husband bought 2 items from the auction, postage was a complete rip off and more than the items themselves. 1st item was fine, however the 2nd item was extremely used condition, filthy (headphones and it has the stains inside from the earwax 🤮) was ripped and torn, with one side not attached at all. They deliberately pictured the item in the packaging to make it look brand new, with the instructions still unopened. We contacted them and got a "you should have come to see them" reply. This was very dishonest and an expensive lesson on our part. We will not be using them again... Again check reviews before using a company.

After reading all the negative reviews that have been left I thought it important to share my experience. I won two lots in two auctions and upon collection was happy with both lots. With it being the first time bidding with them I found the staff to be really approachable and helpful and would use there services again.
