Welcome to S.M.A.R.T Personal Training

Hello and welcome to S.M.A.R.T Personal Training. My aim is to help you achieve your specific health and fitness goals by using measured, accurate and realistic programmes .

My name is Christopher Nixon. S.M.A.R.T Personal Training evolved from my passion to help others lead a healthier lifestyle through the use of exercise with lifestyle changes. I have over 12 years of experience of working in the health and fitness industry working on a one on one basis to group personal training in the gym, home and outdoor environments including boot camp fitness classes.

The last seven years I have been working in a Multi-Disciplinary Team consisting of Occupational Therapists, Doctors and Psychologists successfully creating programmes using exercise prescription to help clients who suffer from severe mental health problems and associated physical health conditions.

I have witnessed tremendous improvement within the welbeing of a person once a precise, regular physical activity and nutritional plan is put in place.

I also have experience of self healing my own anxiety. This has taught me valuable knowledge which has enabled me to help others overcome any barriers to change to a healthier and happier lifestyle.

I have been training with Chris three times a week for almost the last two months. I can not recommend him highly enough, from the first conversation that we had on the telephone where we discussed my current lifestyle and my goals/ objectives, I knew right from that moment that Chris was a genuinely person. His sessions are always really good, either the 1-2-1, the boot camp on Saturday mornings or the meta-fit classes in the week I really feel Chris gets the best out of me by the way he trains and motivates me. His sessions are well structured and most importantly they are enjoyable too.! I could not recommend Chris highly enough, a really good personal trainer and a genuinely nice person. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

Chris is clearly passionate about all aspects of Fitness & Nutrition. A family man with a work hard ethic and a personable friendly manner. I have been having regular outdoor 1 to 1 sessions with Chris. He is so professional yet very down to earth & easy going. Chris knows exactly how much to push me with my fitness levels. I always come away feeling challenged although not overwhelmed by the work out that it is too difficult to continue. My energy has increased & general fitness & overall I feel more toned & in shape since working out with Chris. I highly recommend SMART Personal Training. Book in with Chris sooner rather then later as he is in demand & gets booked up. As personal trainers go I really feel Chris to deliver when it comes to achieving fitness goals with a friendly approach. Thank you Chris you make fitness enjoyable & versatile. A really friendly guy who is flexible to work around your schedule and location. We did one session a week over a 5 week period whilst doing our own exercise in between. If you needed any nutritional or fitness advice, Chris would get back to you promtply. The workouts are tailored to you're desired goals and he definitely put us through our paces! Plenty of variety with the exercies each week. Battle ropes, boom box and kettle bells supplied. The intial sessions we struggled with but we could definitely feel our fitness and strength improve over the course. I would highly recommend Chris if you're goals are to burn fat and get fit!

Chris is an amazing personal trainer and has helped me to transform my fitness and be the fittest I have ever been. Whether he is doing a metafit class or one he has designed himself it is fun, challenging and rewarding. I always look forward to going and each time is different. I couldn’t recommend Chris enough. I truly enjoyed all his boot camp sessions and never wanted to miss them! Rain or shine I was there. He always gives clear instructions on exercises, overlooks what you are doing and suggest replacement exercise if needed. And you really do get the results! I got stronger, fitter and leaner in a short period of time. Brilliant
