My daughter got sent home from school with a sore, inflamed eye that was affecting her vision. I went to the docs who told me they had no appointments & that I'd be better taking her to the opticians. I took her to the opticians at 11.50 & they told me to go back at 2.30 for an in depth consultation. Rachel the Optician was marvellous and the lengths she went to were incredible. We were there for almost 2 hours where a number of tests were carried out - talk about thorough. The optician explained that she wanted to rule out anything sinister as my daughter's sight was affected. After doing every test under the sun, Rachel was satisfied that it was just a bacterial infection and prescribed eye drops every 2 hours. She also will follow up with me tomorrow to make sure the condition is improving. WOW talk about brilliant about customer service, I am so impressed & grateful to all the staff at Specs Direct in Whitefield. Thank you. xx

Always try to shop local, especially after these past couple of years. Had a problem with one of my eyes and popped in and they could not do enough tests for me to ensure my eyes were healthy and nothing to worry about. Even did a follow up the next day to make sure all was still ok.

Went to the Doctors with a severe eye problem that had happened overnight and the doctor told me I needed to go and see an optician immediately tp get an emergency internal eye inspection. So rang Spec Savers in Whitefield and spoke to the optician Rachael who told me to come up immediately as she eould make time to see me, 15 minutes later I arrived at Spec Direct and was seen immediately for a thorough internal eye inspection etc. etc. Rachael the optician emeailed the eye clinic at Rochdale eye Hospital for an emergency appointment, which was made for 2 days later. But Rachael arranged all this, I cannot thank her enough for her care & professionalism. I would highly recommend this Ladies service to anybody who finds themselves with a serious eye problem or requiring an eye examination for glasses etc. Kind Regards, Gary Brooks, Hollins, Bury.

My family opticians since a nipper. Can’t recommend them enough! With a great stock in store but also the option to source your own frame and then prescription lenses with sunglasses too !!!
