I'm really sorry to have to put a review on with only 2 stars..The guy that served me was very helpful and knowlegable but I bought 3 pond plants about 3 months ago.put them in the pond but they have never grown from the bulbs.they are clearly dead,one of them is showing some life but I couldn't find the receipt after 3 months.The guy said he can't do anything without the receipt. I understand it must be company policy to not have to refund without a receipt.but I would have bought other things from them and given them a good write up..I'll just buy plants from elsewhere in future..really sorry.

Terrible company to deal with! Placed my order several weeks before I was due to start a pond for a customer. Only part of the order arrived in time, meaningful I had to find an alternative source for a pond liner at sort notice. Several days after the pond was completed I finally received the rest of my order, and then several days later again I received a second identical order I hadn't ordered. When they arranged collection the parcel was returned to me by a very annoyed parcel force driver because it was over the weight specified by swell UK. 3-4 weeks of emails back and forth with swell UK promising me a refund I got absolutely know no where. In the end I had to go through PayPal to get my money back. Pathetic company, terrible customer service, I would definitely not use again and certainly won't be recommending them.

Probably should have read some of the previous reviews as i'm not the first but my bad, Ordered with 1-2 day delivery as i needed it in that time frame, and they call me to say they can deliver it over a week later, might cancel and try and find somewhere i can pick it up

Great company until you have an item that's faulty. Ordered multiple items from here including live food, heating equipment, light units, UVB bulbs and other misc reptile equipment. Dispatch and delivery has always been faultless. Had a thermostat go wrong within a year of purchase so in line with consumer law I asked for a refund, was promised one last month when the received the faulty item back. No problem or so I thought. A week after they received it still no refund, called and was told it had to go to manufacturer for a fault report. A couple of weeks later after shouting down the phone the confirmed once more I'd get my refund. Nearly a week after that still no refund but its supposedly on its way. If it doesn't end up in my account soon then I'll be going to small claims court. I had to buy a replacement thermostat from a different company so my reptile didn't die so I've been significantly out of pocket due to this problem. Basically they couldn't give a care in the world about my reptile which is quite frankly disgusting! Even my local reptile store would provide temporary equipment if something I brought from them failed in such a short period of time and I'd asked for a repair/replacement. Recently needed a second UVB unit, until this it would have purchased from Swell but went for Amazon instead. Won't ever be buying electrical items from Swell again, may come back when I need bulbs but that's all I'll trust them with now!
