Karen Wood has owned and instructed at Swinton Dog Training since 1991. With the vast experience gained she decided to open Swinton Dog Day Care Centre in June 2010. The Centre is fully licensed and is based within a large unit in Salford, featuring secure indoor and outdoor play areas. For many years Karen has been a Member of the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers, a Member of the Institute for Animal Care Education, an Accredited Petcare Professional and continues to improve her professional development by committing to a formalised programme of continuing professional development (CPD). In addition to running Swinton Dog Training Ltd and the Day Care Centre, Karen has previously worked for the local council from 1979 to 1987 as a dog warden. She also spent three years instructing at a pet dog training club that was run by police dog handlers. With over 30 years experience working with dogs, yours could not be in better hands.

My dog loves it hear. You can see into the doggy play area and there are lots of toys and also areas for the dogs to chill out. The staff are friendly and do vigilant checks to ensure the right person is collecting the right dog. I fully trust this place to look after my dog. I also want to add that she comes back very well behaved, which will be down to the staff and their dog training abilities.

Cannot recommend Karen and her team enough. My 3 dogs love going to day care and they always have an amazing time. The photos taken by the fabulous staff prove the great fun had by all. Well done to you all 🐾

Would highly recommend this doggy day care if you want your pooch to be happy and playing all day in a safe and loving environment! I brought my 5 month old puppy here, worrying if he would be ok with lots of other dogs big and small, but Natalie ensured me he will be fine and he always comes home exhausted from a packed day of playing! The team here are very dedicated, and post regular updates on their Facebook page so you can see how much fun everyone is having! Support this hard working business, you will not regret it :)

Our dog has been attending daycare here at various times for six years, ever since she was a pup. They absolutely take care of the dogs here as if they were their own (indeed, a few are). We're more than happy to recommend their service to anyone.

A terrific youth club for our furry loved ones where they can run as a pack and celebrate their species! Baxter arrives excitedly and leaves content after a days hard play amongst well behaved and supervised fellow woofers! My only regret is that I have to leave at the door and can't join in my self!
