Michael restored 2 cast iron bedroom fireplaces for me about a year ago. There were missing parts which he sorted with a local forge to replicate for me. He also had 2 bespoke gas fire inserts made for me as well. Michael went above and beyond for me. I travelled from Birmingham as I believed he is the best and I highly recommend him. So down to earth and truly a lovely gent.

Michael couldn't have been more helpful, even giving us a copy of the original catalogue entry for our fireplace from a century ago. Delivery was included for no extra charge, as was installation of the decorative tiles we bought. Very happy.

I was looking to buy some antique fireplaces and browsed TAFRC website and was very impressed with Michael's work. I ended up purchasing 4 cast iron combination fireplaces from him. They were packed & delivered promptly & great deal of care. Having inspected the fireplaces close up, I concluded Michael’s restoration workmanship has to be one of the best in this business! If you are looking to buy/restore/repair an antique fireplace – call Michael. His prices are fair and you will get a very nice fireplace in return. We were so happy with the quality of service we got here, for example, the Antique Fireplace we chose was missing a cast iron moulding. The owners made a replacement out of wood, took it to a local iron foundary and using the wood as a mould they made a replacement cast iron moulding. It was perfect.
