I’m really not one to complain, I hate it and having worked in the catering and restaurant industry I get it’s hard. I ordered expecting something from the menu and got something different. The menu needs to be more detailed and there was no check back with the food. My partner nearly ate all the roast dinner as he was starving but the quality of it wasn’t good. Overall the staff were very nice but the food quality doesn’t match the price. Will be here again for a drink but not for the food.

Visit often and always met with a warm smile from the staff and always served delicious food. Steaks are really good here and great value for money! Will be returning again and again!

Myself and my partner visit the Millgate regularly, reassured that we will be met with a smile and delicious hearty meal, it’s always at the top of our list when we’re in the area. The pub has a great atmosphere suitable for everyone. Myself and my partner like to dine alone in the restaurant then move into the main bar area afterwards to enjoy the evenings entertainment. Staff are always very polite and accommodating which has resulted in our return, even after we had moved out of the area! Thankyou, see you very soon.

Every Sunday since I moved to Failsworth I have come here for lunch with my brother Peter and also on special occasions such as Christmas and birthdays. I cannot recommend the Millgate enough because the food is absolutely delicious and the staff who I speak to are very friendly and welcoming. I truly feel like I’m at home since I moved house in September last year and I’m proud to call the Millgate my local pub.

This is my favorite pub in all of the UK. Why, you ask? Two words: Thumbelina. I came here from out of town, burned out and feeling blah. Within two minutes of sitting down, the softest cat I've ever felt had popped up and fallen asleep on my lap. Instant happiness, spirits restored. I learned she's not technically a pubcat, just a neighborhood cat who likes to come in and hang out. Well, the fact that a cat chose this pub as their local speaks for itself if you ask me. There wasn't a huge beer selection, but I was happy enough to see a pale ale on tap. I can't remember whether or not I ate food, but I spent the rest of my trip desperate to return and see Thumbelina. In conclusion: 10/10 for cat.
