We traveled 1h 30m to try this chippy as the hype was high and it more than lives up to it. The food is amazing and very tasty. The staff are lovely. And the price is more than fair. Would give more stars if I could.

Excellent fish and chips. Fish was in thin batter and the chips crunchy outside and fluffy inside. All nice and hot. Under new ownership and you can tell the difference. I will be back.

I've not been to the mod cod since the beginning of covid. The fish are not what they used to be, they are horrible & chewey & they are about 1/3 the size they used to be & very thin & definitely not cod. I swear they are the same as from a local supermarket, the ones where they are frozen with to in a box ( Bassa fillets) Chips & everything else is good though. Won't be buying the fish again.
