Welcome to our website!

Timperley Village Day Nursery is situated in a large detached property in the heart of Timperley Village. We offer a home from home environment and cater for children aged between 0-5 years. We are Ofsted registered to cater for 55 children.

Our setting provides a very homely, safe and secure environment where children grow and progress comfortably. We have kept our baby rooms very small and we have a large open plan room for children aged 2-3 whereby they can explore all aspects of learning in a large, bright, fun space. The pre-school rooms are spread through two rooms which enables the older children to avail of free flow play and learning. Our nursery has a large secluded playground situated to the rear of the premises, where children can explore and learn freely. All children have their own potting plant area and we have a mud kitchen corner where children can learn and explore different outdoor textures. We have a covered play area which enables children to be able to play outside. In the garden, there is also an area of decking where children can sit and read, and this area also provides a nice quiet corner for the younger children to explore.

Our opening times are:

Mon – Fri 7.00am – 6.00pm

Excluding all statutory bank holidays, Christmas and New Year periods.

we have decided to send our 11 month old baby girl to this nursery and had absolutely stressful experience of my lifetime which I wouldn't want to experience again. 1. Settling period: 2 weeks. Across the board in Trafford its total 4 hours in 2-3 sessions. we were told to have one week of settling in session and when the time came for the sessions they have changed it to 2 weeks of settling session of 1/2-1 hours everyday. My girl did around 5 settling sessions and every time they said she is not settled. when the time come to send her full time they said she is still not settled and would need more settling sessions. I asked them at what stage would they consider her settled and they said when she wouldn't cry in nursery after we left her as this could potentially disturb other babies too. I was shocked to hear that as I am sure an 11 month old baby would not go to nursery with happy and smiling face. I have had other children too and very well aware that initial few months of nursery are hard and kids take time to settle. but I would expect nursery staff to take responsibility to ensure they settle as quickly as possible. I discussed with deputy manager that I am not happy with your justification as we being parent also have to go to work and can not wait for your settling sessions to be continued indefinitely and at some point you guys would have to take responsibility however she said so you are happy for you baby to cry all day in nursery and if yes than you are more than welcome to send your child. This broke my heart and decided to take my girl off the nursery as I would not be comfortable sending her to a place where the staff attitude is so negative. 2. Sickness policy: Their sickness policy also doesnt match with rest of the trafford nursery sickness policy. So during settleing session my wife called the nursery to inform she has fever as she is teething and we will send her next day however they said now as you have informed us that she has fever, she can not come to nursery for 48 hours. I advised them that if she is fine next day and doesn't need paracetamol would it be fine to bring her however they clearly refused. 3. No refund/cooling off policy: Please thing twice before making any payment. She was suppose to start fulltime from 07/03/22 so I paid for that month on 02/03/22 however after all the above drama I decided to take her off the nursery so I emailed them on 06/03 (literally 3 days after I made payment and day before she was about to start her nursery) about the same. when I requested refund as we have not used the nursery at all, they have refused the refund and gave me an argument that I need to give them one months notice. I told them I appreciate that however we never had a month to give you notice and I am sure you must have 14 days cooling off period before I could cancel the nursery place like every other nursery in the town however they have clearly refused to refund my money. When I asked about complaints procedure, they didnt have in place. I am now in the process of filing claim against them in court. 4. Parking. Finding parking to drop off or pick up your kid is a nightmare as they do not have dedicated car park or parking space. There is church or community hall next door where you could park however a member of staff of that building started shouting on us as why are we parking our car there for nursery pickup. We have advised him that nursery has granted us permission to park and they said nursery doesn't have any right to let us park in their space
