I wanted to enquire about this gym and the facilities so I called up - I spoke to a lovely woman on the phone called Danielle and she was so helpful and offered to give me a tour today which was great. when I got to the gym she was welcoming and was enthusiastic and this encouraged me to join the gym due to the friendliness. I was very pleased with the gym and all facilities it has to offer for an amazing monthly fee. It was great to have Danielle introduce me and join me onto the gym. Mark - a fitness PT was also great and gave me lots of information on 1-1 sessions and was very friendly too!!

The gym has a good location and free parking outside, although the bins in the area are always full and smell bad. Sports equipment is sticky because nobody cleans it. The gym mats are old, and when I did push-ups, my fingers were black as coal. The changing room was neither freshly swabbed out nor disinfected, but only hoovered. I would like to know how often a cleaner wipes lockers inside because it looked awful. I like to play squash with my husband, but the squash racket are broken and without a covering handle. The court is filthy because there is a lot of long hair as well as dust. Despite the fact that the walls have been painted, the ceiling is still leaking somehow. One day the receptionist said that I needed to buy a new racket for myself in a rude tone. That is not what I expected for a hundred pounds per month. By the way, I can afford the same price for training at another gym for six months, but the problem is that I cannot break the contract until July. The main issue is the zone on the first floor. Twice a week we go to the H.I.T. trainings, and I bought new gloves because I can touch the horrible floor. I have noticed stains, which people do expectorate on the floor, and as a result, I caught the flu a few times.

I have sent a formal complaint on 1st of February and I still have not received any reply. In my email, I wrote that there was incident that occurred in the women's changing room at your Total Fitness gym in Whitefield circa at 13:00 on 1st of Feb 2024. My partner (female) and your customer was in the process of undressing when a male member of your maintenance team entered the changing room unexpectedly. He proceeded to stare at my partner, who was naked at the time. Understandably, my partner was extremely distressed by this experience. She immediately left the changing room and reported the incident to the duty manager. However, instead of taking her complaint seriously, he laughed about the situation. This dismissive response is unacceptable. My partner was traumatized by the maintenance worker's intrusion and the duty manager's insensitive reaction. Allowing male staff to enter the women's changing room without sufficient warning ( there was no information on the female changing room doors' or no previous emails from Total fitness ) shows a blatant disregard for your female members' privacy and comfort. And the duty manager's flippant response to my partner's complaint reveals a troubling lack of concern over this significant issue. Situations like this should be investigated thoroughly and offending staff members reprimanded appropriately. I request that you look into this incident immediately. The duty manager should be disciplined for his unprofessional response. Furthermore, procedures must be put in place to ensure something like this never happens again. Female members should feel safe while changing clothes at your facility. If maintenance needs to be performed in the women's locker room, members should be notified well in advance. Protecting your members' privacy should be a top priority. I await your prompt response regarding how this matter will be addressed. At this point apology is not good enough (after many weeks without response to my initial contact with Total Fitness team).

I really like total fitness the staff are polite and very helpful. I mainly use the pools which I personally think need a little updating but all in all its a very nice and friendly place.

Overpriced for what you get. The equipment is out of date and most machines you can’t even read what weights you are using. The women’s gym is nothing like as advertised on images. It is often full of teenage kids just hanging about in groups and playing on equipment. I was in there a few weekends ago and there was a family eating a tub of Ben and jerrys while playing on the equipment. It’s an absolute joke. It’s a joke. It’s hard because I have found the staff amazing but I wish they did more to police the use of the facilities because nobody bothers putting weights back and more often than not you have kids using the space as a hang out. If it didn’t have a pool for my daughter I would go to the gym group down the road.
