I started using the garage about a year ago? I would say I had good experiences. Few months ago I came to change one tyre and a mechanic said that a nut snapped so they proposed first to drill a hole to solve the problem. It didn't work so I had to pay for a new hub (£80? with labour). I never had that issue before so I tried to find out if it was my responsibility or of the garage? I was told that it was mine. Some time after that I had an exhaust problem and popped in to have it checked. The owner had a look and decided that all the system had to be replaced with the cost of over £300. I was prepared to do that but a friend of mine advised me not and in a different garage a back box was fitted for £30. In terms of the tyre I spoke to someone who said that mechanic should try first the key and not the machine but that's just someone 's opinion I am personally not sure. My car failed MOT few days ago because one wheel nut was missing. I wanted to avoid paying for the new hub and went back to the garage asking if the mechanic was ready to take his responsibility and drill it so he the nut could be put in place. He agreed, was confident that could do it and booked me for Monday morning 9.00. When I came the mechanic wasn't there and the owner refused to do it on Monday but Wednesday. I have to take the car for the MOT and pay for the new hub

Got there with a flat tyre from driving to Manchester from York. Was received with warmth and hospitality. It turned out my tyre was not in their stock as it is uncommon. The gentleman kindly suggested with his expertise that with a higher pressure I could make it safely back to York as it is a slow leak and it is not far. So I made it back to York safe and sorted my problem in a local garage. Cannot thank enough for the kindness. Highly recommended!
