The gym is fantastic, with an equally fantastic staff. I am always greeted with a smile upon arrival, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The staff are super friendly, making every visit enjoyable.

"average wait time is 3 minutes" and "Don't sweat we'll be with you soon" and I am still hanging there for 30 minutes NOW?? Is it company policy to make customers wait an unreasonable amount of time when they wish to cancel their membership? I cannot afford to spend another hour waiting on hold. If you are unable to answer my call, I am submitting this message as my notification of cancelling my contract, which will be effective 30 days from now. My id is 452p88919 *Edit: Finally they picked up my call after waiting for 30 minutes and they said they will send a confirmation email soon (not received yet), if I have not received the email this is on you!

I’m deeply disappointed to report that my experience at Virgin Active has been overwhelmingly negative. The staff, to begin with, are some of the most unfriendly people I’ve encountered in a customer service environment. Their lack of warmth and approachability makes every visit uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Adding insult to injury, the state of the gym facilities is appalling. The equipment is often dirty or in a state of disrepair, making it clear that regular maintenance isn’t a priority. The locker rooms are a whole other story - consistently filthy, with a noticeable lack of basic hygiene standards. It’s shocking that a gym of this reputation would allow their facilities to degrade to such an extent. I joined Virgin Active expecting a premium gym experience, but the reality is far from it. The staff’s attitude makes me feel like an unwelcome intruder rather than a valued member, and the unhygienic conditions are a health hazard. It’s a shame to see a gym with such potential fall so short on basic aspects of customer experience and cleanliness. I urge potential members to think twice before joining. Unless Virgin Active addresses these serious issues, I cannot recommend this gym to anyone.
