Food: Excellent. It's an extremely traditional chippy. Hard to find these days. Service: on this occasion very slow. I queued for at least half an hour (it was Good Friday and they'd not expected to be so busy). Atmosphere: ?? Queuing in a chippy? There wasn't any drinks or a floorshow! 🤣

Just tried this chippy for first time today....meat and potato pie chips and gravy...£4.00..great price and it was all good ......haven't seen pies that cheap around ashton chippys.....so give it a try see what you think ........😁

We asked for fish with a portion of chips but got a broken fish on a tray with chips, Tasted nice but NOT what we ordered We also got a pudding and meat and potato pie, Which was absolutely awful the pie was squashed and upside down in a tray and the pudding was the same and actually looked as if it had been on the shelf for a few days ,it was brown on the bottom and it would have been better if it had been left in the foil container, we love your fish and chips normally but today VERY disappointed 😞

We ordered two portions of large fish and chips and were really underwhelmed. The fish were small, over battered and undercooked so when you pulled the batter off the fish it was still raw underneath. The chips were tasteless and scrappy. We've been before and even though the portions were on the small side, the food was lovely. We were really disappointed this time.

Not the best alot of the chips had bad bits in them the fish was very wet with oil to much batter and struggled to find the fish not sure how this it top rated as a chippy we didn't rate it at all
